The Devils have a few Devils media people sitting in on their interviews with Patrick and Hischier. Interesting. Take it for what its worth but been told Shero truly is up in the air on who he prefers

FWIW, I think Shero already knows who he's drafting but that stays strictly confidential between himself, Tom Fitzgerald, Dan MacKinnon and Steve Pellegrini. Hockey ops does not share much internal info with the PR/website folks despite working for the same organization.

I really think it's Patrick just everything on the devils site if it is an article it's usually headline Patrick first or have him shown in the pic. I also think just from small things he has said in interviews. I could be completely off though but that is what I think lol It also happens to be what I hope

I'll be more than happy to take Nico Hischier but from a Devils standpoint, they're starving for offense. Why would they draft Nolan Patrick, if you a player like Pavel Zacha. Zacha and Patrick seem to offer a lot of the same tools within their development. I think I only lean towards Nolan Patrick because of the Patrick/Provorov connection. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Patrick might look great centering Konecny.

Patrick or Hischier?
Don't care, just glad one of them will be ours

Oh, also, (frank) THE RANGERS!!!

Figured the Devils fan would appreciate that!

Devils have the Patrick/Quenville familiarity to go with also. Whichever team he ends up with has a Brandon teammate.

You mean it's not the NFL draft where the number one pick is known 3 days beforehand and everyone sits waiting number 2?

Would you trade #2, 2018 1st, Ghost, and Hagg for Ovechkin? They wouldn't do it, but curious if that's the type of trade that would get it done.

From a Flyers perspective that sets the team back about a decade maybe so Im not sure how to emphatically say no and lol at it.

I agree. If they do go Hischier, the change in thinking came since the lottery win.

Meh I don't think Zacha was ever the prospect that was going to light it up per say on his way up but someone who was thought to be a player who had a lot of the tools to be a very dangerous NHL player. He has size and skating ability, a blistering shot/ one timer. He never had the blow you off the page stats of a Marner but again I think those are two players who where going to develop differently no matter what. I don't think Zacha is more of a two way player I think he is an offensive player who is coming along carefully. I guess before I get to far off point is that I don't see Zacha being the reason we draft or don't draft one of these guys. I also don't think that Patrick is this less talented player, less flashy absolutely but I think he is every bit as effective and at the end of the day that is all that matters not how the pts come but that they do come.
